Dr. Raj Sakhrekar is an internationally trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with a distinguished career spanning over a decade, built upon a strong foundation of clinical expertise, academic scholarship, and global research collaboration. His areas of specialization include complex spinal deformity correction in both pediatric and adult populations, minimally invasive tubular and Unilateral Biportal Endoscopic spine surgery, and navigation-assisted spine procedures, with a focus on innovation and advancement of emerging surgical techniques.

These international fellowships have equipped him with highly specialized training in both pediatric and adult spinal surgery, as well as a deep understanding of multidisciplinary, evidence-based care. His exposure to a wide range of healthcare systems has enabled him to incorporate global best practices into patient care, while adapting to varied institutional environments.
Dr. Sakhrekar has previously served as a Consultant Spine Surgeon at Kapadia Hospital and Arihant Hospital in Mumbai, India 🇮🇳.
Academically, he has authored over 35 peer-reviewed international publications and presented more than 100 research papers at leading global spine and orthopaedic conferences. He currently serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Spine Surgery and is on the editorial and reviewer boards of several renowned spine journals.
In 2025, Dr. Sakhrekar was elected as one of the 37 global members of the AO Spine Knowledge Forum Deformity at the Global Spine Congress, Rio, Brazil 🇧🇷 where he collaborates with an elite international team on cutting-edge research initiatives. He is also an active member of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) on Social Media Committee, contributing significantly to digital education and awareness in spine health.
He has associations and collaborations with SMISS( Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery), Spine Society Australia , Canadian Spine Society, Canadian Orthopedic Association, Maharashtra and Indian Orthopedic Association and Association of Spine Surgeons of India.
He hosts Vertebral Views – The Spine Show, a global educational livestream series featuring leading spine experts discussing evolving techniques and challenges in spine surgery. His team also will be launching SpineTV, a digital platform dedicated to educating the general public about spine health and wellness.
